Lunchbox Ideas

This is probably what we get asked about the most. Parents are always looking for new ideas when it comes to school lunches. Children get bored easily and its hard to keep them interested. We all want our kids to have a balanced diet and enjoy their fruits and vegetables of course. Sometimes its about the presentation too. Changing things up will encourage children to try new things especially if they are at school and see their friends eating other fruits and vegetables. It could have the opposite effect. Banoota came home one day and decided she did not want to eat anything green because she is not a sheep. It took us a good 2 months of negotiation and reasoning to change her ideology and we finally got there so she is back to normal.

Breadtalk’s rainbow toast, popcorn and cheese slices.

Purple cabbage is one of Banoota’s favorite and don’t ask us why! We don’t know how that happened. Anyways we added some pasta too in the skiphop containers.

Watermelon and corn on the cob is always a winner. Rice cakes are also a healthy snack and come in so many different varieties too.

Banoota is obsessed with this water bottle as it sprays water. When you make the sandwiches small and bitesize it makes it easier for children to finish them too. This white Turkish braided cheese is one of Banoota’ favorites too. You can get so many different types of fresh cheeses in the stores too.

Change up the bread to a soft roll or anything else you can get your hands on too. Doesn’t always have to be toast.

We used to make fun shaped sandwiches for Banoota but she is bored of them now so she now prefers small bite size pieces. Also, before we get attacked with this and that is not healthy, we’d just like to let you know we don’t ban her from any food just try and give her healthier alternatives. As long as she has her fruits and vegetables we are happy.

Also, we got our lunchboxes from Mumzworld, check out our page with our top picks.

Happy lunch box making!
